At Rincon Swim School, we believe that every child deserves access to the life-saving skill and joy of swimming. That's why we are proud to partner with the Hope Floats Foundation, a national 501c3 organization dedicated to providing scholarships for swim lessons to children in need.

Water Safety for All

Qualifying for a Hope Floats Scholarship

Hope Floats Foundation offers scholarships to children living in poverty, with tuition assistance based on the USDA Standards of Federal Poverty. If a child qualifies for free or reduced lunch, they automatically qualify for a Hope Floats Scholarship at our swim school or any partner swim school in the community.

The Benefits of a Hope Floats Scholarship

The Hope Floats Scholarships cover learn-to-swim lessons (not swim team) and provide one lesson per week for three months. The frequency of lessons may vary by provider, but you can always reapply for continued support. The scholarship covers the cost of lessons only, excluding any additional fees that may be imposed by the swim provider. Families are required to make a financial contribution toward the lessons, ensuring a collaborative effort to promote water safety.

Applying for Assistance - It's Easy and Confidential

To apply for assistance, families simply complete a Confidential Application for Tuition Support and provide a copy of their most recently filed Federal Tax Return with Social Security numbers removed. The foundation processes all confidential information, and Rincon Swim School does not see the application details.

Your Path to Water Safety

Once you apply, the wait period is typically 30 days for acceptance or denial. However, in most cases, it takes just 2-4 days for a response via email. If any additional information is required, you will be informed within the same time frame.

We are thrilled to be part of the effort to make swimming accessible to all members of our community. If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, please reach out to us. Together, let's ensure that water safety and the joy of swimming are within reach for every child.
