Private Lessons

Nurturing Confidence & Ensuring Safety

At Rincon Swim School, we understand the importance of personalized attention and a comfortable learning environment for your child's swim journey. That's why we offer private swim lessons in the small recreational pool at Cate School, nestled in the scenic southern foothills of Carpinteria, CA. The pool is kept at a soothing 88 degrees year-round, providing the perfect setting for swimmers of all levels.

Swim in Comfort, Watch with Ease

The Cate School pool features a wide staircase leading into a shallow 3 1/2-foot pool, creating a safe and enjoyable space for all learners. For parents and guardians, we have thoughtfully arranged a private deck area with comfortable chairs and ample shade, ensuring you can observe your little swimmers with peace of mind.

  • Swim lessons are not only a fun activity but also a crucial service for your child's safety and future. For beginners, we require a 3-month commitment as results start to emerge around this time. Swimmers who are already water-safe and proficient can opt for a 4-lesson minimum commitment. This timeframe allows your child to build trust with their instructor and adjust to the new environment, leading to significant progress and water safety awareness.

  • To ensure the best experience for your child, every family is required to register for our swim lessons. As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, a portion of the registration fee is donated to Girls Inc. of Carpinteria, a nonprofit organization empowering young girls.

  • We believe that learning to swim is a process that requires time and dedication. With a 3-month commitment for families swimming twice a week, and a 6-month commitment for those swimming once a week, we ensure ample opportunities for learning and progress. Lessons are like education; they require consistent effort and practice to achieve significant milestones.

  • We are passionate about making swimming accessible to all. If you are in need of financial assistance, we encourage you to explore our Scholarship page and apply for lesson assistance.

  • Private Lessons (One-on-One): 25 minutes/$70 per lesson

At Rincon Swim School, we prioritize safety, confidence, and joy in every swim lesson. Join us as we guide your child through this essential life skill, fostering a lifelong love for the water and a secure swimming future.

What People Are Saying

Andrea’s teaching approach made my kids so eager to swim each week. Each day they would run to their lesson and beg to be the first one to go. In 1 week my son went from a very weak doggy paddle to being able to float on his back and side breath freestyle.

My daughter who was an ok swimmer, became very confident, has a beautiful stroke, the ability and confidence to swim a pool length or two, and a goal of trying out for the swim team. Andrea honed in on each of my children’s personalities, saw what works best to motivate them and pushed them to excel.

I highly recommend Andrea and Rincon Swim School, thanks to her I have two great swimmers, but most importantly two kiddos who are water safe.

— Aja Forner, Carpinteria.

The money we have spent on swim lessons with Andrea is by far the best money we have spent on our 3 year-old son, yet.

She beautifully balances his need for comfort and security with the goal (and challenge) of making sure he is safe and confident in the water. Our prior experiences with swim teachers pale in comparison to what we have witnessed with Andrea. She has not only taught him the necessary skills but she has also fostered his love for the water!
