Lesson Information
Swim lessons are an essential service for the safety of your child. It is an investment in their life long future. All lesson sign ups require a 3 month commitment for beginners as results emerge at this time. Swimmers who are water safe and proficient will require 4 lesson minimum.
Each family is required to register their child/children. There is a renewal fee each year for current and returning families. All registration fees are non refundable and a portion of the registration fee is donated to Girls Inc. of Carpinteria.
Why the 3 Month Commitment?
There's a lot of trust to build between the student and instructor. This is a new environment and person your child is introduced to. It takes 4-6 lessons for them acclimate and start to trust the process which is about a month worth of lessons. Around the end of the 3 months, water safety results emerge. The learn to swim portion begins around 5 months. Lessons are education just like schooling; not all can be learned in a few lessons.
My son has fallen in love with swimming and takes such pride in his ability thanks to the wonderful Miss Andrea! Her patient but focused teaching style delivers results in a fun, playful environment. Jameson went from being nervous in the water and dreading swim lessons to jumping in and swimming across the pool, even crying on the days he didn’t get to go to swim lessons. The transformation was magic to watch as a parent and gives our family such piece of mind knowing our little guy is water safe. We are forever grateful for Rincon Swim!!
